    Hello.

Is it possible to overclock this CPU in this notebook?
There is no exclamation mark in the System Manager.
But with Win 10 it is slow and haltingly (like freezes...).
    Memory is 8GB.

Did you install W10 on it or was it on it when you go it ? I would think that 8GB of memory would be fine for W10. I would reinstall W10 again just to see what happens. Microsoft still has a LOT of bugs in W10 and they seam to not got a handle on it yet. Main reason why I am staying away from it.

What is the full model number on the bottom or first page of the bios. This will give us a better idea what you have.
    CF-31??????

Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 Standard, Core i5-520M, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, HDMI, HSDPA (CF-31ATAAHPG)

    I assume slow/dying HDD.

No, with 8GB RAM, and 5TB HDD, as previously mentioned :) .

    This is a ST5000LM000-2AN170 5000,9 GB from a Seagate "Backup+" external drive. ~120MB/s/90MB/s
Crystaldiskinfo "Health Status" is blue and "good". 4744h.
Actually stable 122°F/50°C (copying files from partition to partition).

    Where?
Forget it. Test with another HDD or, better, SSD. I still think the dog is buried there.

The original HDD is not faster, and I think, not eqivalent.
I can reinstall the original HDD. Logical: If it was the hard drive, it must work with the original hard drive.
An SSD with several TB? Extremely expensive.
I would like to install two memory (system SSD and HDD), but I need a kind of "intelligent splitter".
Turn a SATA into two SATA.

The computer does not delay or freeze when accessing the HDD.
