I am about to buy a Panasonic CF-W2 notebook. I am offered a very good deal on it($ 2000 CDN(US$ 1680). I wonder is it a very good buy?

Assuming that this is a previously owned system and has not been tortured too much this seems like a good price. (If new, even better price!) These are nice units and a real joy to use and carry. (I have one...)

Well, it is literally brand new. It is a re-pack from a re-seller. This is the newer version and has 512 MB of RAM in it. Do you have the 801.11g in it or 11b? Are you really happy with the screen? I wear glasses so I have to be picky with the screen. Mind you, I am not planning to look at that screen all day. I am planning to go to people's houses to fix their's machine with this computer. Thanks for the info.!

It has the B standard which is fine for my uses.

Oh it is fine. You may want to play with the Gamma settings in Control Panel as some have reported a "blue-ish" tint to the white. On my unit this is non-existing. I wear glasses too so remember you can tweak the desktop for font size, etc.

Get a portable i70 or i80 Canon inkjet printer and the combo is easily carried due to light weight yet a bomb proof combo for printing anything from invoices to 4X6 photos!

Good luck with it. You will love the light weight carry. It is also a people magnet as it is just a smashing, good looking machine!
