    Hi !

I have got a P870Dm (not a Sager but same as this) and I don't understand but my Laptop get low performance when I active the SLI of my two GTX1080.

When I use in single mode I got near 80FPS to Titanfall 2 and 20FPS with the SLI activaded. On Rise of the Tomb raider the FPS is not constant. It up or down and some time the game freeze for some seconds.
All my games have low performance in SLI mod. I must play in single mod to have fluidity.

I don't know what the problem. The computer don't crash.

    you use dual PSU, right?

do you get overheating? what is the GPU usage in SLI?

Are there any other games that exhibit this? I typed Titanfall 2 SLI problems in the search engine and it seems the game doesn't run well with SLI and the default profile. Perhaps you need to find an alternate SLI profile that works better and set it in Nvidia inspector.

Other than that, you could try some newer and much older drivers from Nvidia's website and see if that helps. SLI performance has reportedly been hit and miss with some driver versions lately (not just in laptops). Don't forget to run the latest version of Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode before you install new drivers to be sure to get rid of any remains that could be causing the issues.

If it isn't a driver issue, check if it behaves the same in true full screen mode vs. windowed/borderless windowed (aka "fake full screen") mode. If the problem is mainly there in proper full screen mode but SLI works better in (borderless-) window mode, your SLI cable might not be connected properly or damaged, as windowed SLI uses a different technique and doesn't rely on the SLI cable as much.

It could be the SLI cable needs re-seating.

Full screen and windows screen don't have the same comportement for SLI ?
I will try this evening (I m in France).

For my driver I m on date, but.... I don't have install it in safemode. I m using the nvidia experience software that update automaticaly my driver.

For Titanfall 2, dev have say that they have include the SLI this year and I have see a youtube video with a gamer that test a SLI on this game. But I have issue to Rise of the Tomb Raider too.

PS:You work for XMG (your signature) ? My laptop is the same as U726.

Ok on Rise of Tomb rider I get 25-30 FPS
    GPU1 90°
    GPU2 83°
    CPU 71-81°

I used MSI afterburner to monitor the value in real time.

There is an option "Limit synchro SLI", I don t know what is it but I have activaded and I got "no load" or"Sync SLI" in game.

Traditional SLI works only in true full screen mode and generally performs better than Windowed SLI which has been added later. Windowed SLI is a different technique where cards communicate more over the bus than over the SLI cable.

Download Display Driver Uninstaller and run it. Select Safe Mode and let it uninstall your drivers. Once you get back into non-Safe-mode Windows, install whichever driver you wish to try. Rinse and repeat whenever you install a new driver.
It might also be a good idea to try to not install GeForce Experience with the driver and see if that helps as it can sometimes mess up things.
Some drivers can work better and some worse in some games when it comes to SLI.

No, I'm a regular uses and it's just the laptop I own. Official representatives of XMG will always have the XMG logo in green.
It's generally a good idea to post your laptop's make and specs in your forum signature so people can see what system you have if they are trying to help you.

Which resolution is that? 3840x2160 (the single card Witcher 3 framrates look about right for that resolution)?

The temperatures seem to be a bit on the high side, so there might be some thermal throttling going on. Try to set your fans to full speed (FN+1) while you're gaming and see if that helps with performance (it should definitely help with temperatures). If it does help with performance, perhaps you could carefully try to undervolt your CPU and GPUs a bit to keep temperatures lower.

If it happens to get worse with the fans running at full blast, the laptop might not be fed enough power and there might be an issue with your power supplies.
Just to check, you are gaming with the laptop connected to power, not on battery, right?
