    Hello Note Bookers,

GIVEN that I am a P870DM owner who wants to install 2 RAM sticks in DUAL CHANNEL configuration,

THEN should I install it in RAM 1 & RAM 2 slots (located on bottom of laptop)

OR should I install it in RAM 1 & RAM 3 (RAM 1 located on bottom of laptop, RAM 3 located under keyboard)?

Note: RAM 1 & RAM 2 slots are located on the bottom of the laptop (see here) and RAM 3 & RAM 4 slots are located underneath the keyboard (see here).

    Thanks,
    Will

To install ram in dual channel use the same area, so 2 under the keyboard or 2 under the main cover or all 4.

You could technically pair 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 as well but I would avoid that.

Right, stick to two adjacent banks. That will give you dual channel mode and will be easier to work with than installing one stick on each side of the board.
