    Hi there,

after all kinds of fiddling with my P870DM-G (trying to get my 8700k to run), I couldn't get it working so I eventually gave up.
Now I flashed back the original BIOS and it boots, obviously with the 6700 installed. For some reason (doesn't matter if I'm in UEFI or Windows), the fans start spinning up after 1-2 minutes, then the laptop keeps beeping until it shuts off. When I turn off the fans using the FN+1 key combination, the beeping stops.

Now, it did this with the Dsanke BIOS as well. When I flashed it, I forgot the command "-rewrite" (only typed in "fpt -f BIOS.bin -y").But instead of just showing the three lines (erase, flash, verify), hundreds of lines of things it was flashing were listed, I couldn't help but think "shyte, I f'd up". I waited for it to finish, then did it the right way and everything seemed to run until the fan problem kicked in.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? I just want to get it back to stock.

    Thanks, help is greatly appreciated!

Edit: Oh, by the way, it's the GPU fan. And I was unable to install the GPU drivers, and the GTX 980 doesn't show up in the device manager. Maybe that little mistake I made during the flashing process ended up writing some stuff on the graphics card bios that doesn't belong there?

It's an ECU panic meaning the system has issues reading one of the variables like fan speed of GPU temperature.

The graphics card BIOS is a separate chip so wont have been written to.

    electrosoft and Uftherr like this.

    Okay, interesting, thanks.
So is there anything I can do about it?

Try re-seating the GPU and maybe speak to the BIOS developer about possible consequences of their code.

Were you running Dsanke or was it stock BIOS?

I reseated the GPU with no improvement. I'll try contacting Dsanke, but I don't expect him to answer, since he's inactive in the official thread.

Flash full stock Clevo BIOS package form here (meaning both ECs and BIOS itself) with USB stick from DOS - don`t use programmer.

The EC firmware is flashed the same way as the BIOS using the FTP tool?
