Hey guys.. so I've been getting a lot of mixed answers regarding the compatibility of the 10y0 and 1070 MXM cards with the P750ZM.

Any chance anyone here knows what is 100% compatible and where I could source one? Looking at either of them since they are both a good upgrade for a 980m

    Thanks in advance!

The 1060 isn't really any stronger than the 980m. The main benefit is it is more power efficient. It's not worth getting if you already have a 980m.

The 1070 is quite a bit better. Most 1070 cards that you can plug in will work. MSI 1070 cards will require you to cut back your frame to physically fit, but are the highest performing 1070. GeCube and Zotac cards will fit without modification and work fine with a .inf mod. I believe Aetna cards require the BIOS to be changed before installing. Clevo cards will not work without large amounts of frame cutting and wire soldering.

I haven't seen a successful upgrade to the 10 series on the ZM models posted anywhere yet. Not to say it's not feasible, just that there's a lack of precedent/info. The GeCube cards might be your easiest route.

Is your screen EDP or lcds is the first thing to check.

Thank you Meaker, also @kolias I am going to do some extra research first. Would suck if I ended up with an expensive paperweight haha.

Thank you for the offer though
