Is the RTX2080 upgrade kit plug and play?

It includes MXM RTX2080 GPU, “UPDATED heatsink”, and thermal pads, x bracket, with usb flash drive bios update.

it is on eBay sold by Eurocom. It is a little expensive but I figure I can sell my current GTX1080 and current heatsink as a complete upgrade on eBay.

I don’t know of anyone who’s done it on a P750/P775, probably because the performance increase going from a 190W 1080 to 150W 2080 is so minimal. ;)

You are right, but at only 1080P it is about a 2%
    to 20% faster.

But at 1440P the performance gap opens up even further to around 10% to 41% faster performance. With 20% faster average performance. And literally 40% faster on average in just “watch dogs 2”

I can only imagine how well 4K resolutions would do. The higher the resolution the more the performance scales. It would probably perform 40% better in all titles in 4K on average even with only 150TDP.

These performance numbers are with a X4C with 9900K gtx1080

    vs

    X7C with 9900K rtx2080

Yeah, Turing’s greater bandwidth lets it pull away at higher resolutions. But 10% faster at 1080p on average isn’t worth it for me personally, since I don’t game at higher resolutions, and mostly play shooters where I prefer frame rate over visual quality anyway.

so with a gtx1080 at 1080P you should still be able to run ultra detail with high refresh rate 80-150 FPS on most all first person titles out there right?

Only real benefit that I can see from pairing an RTX2080 with the thinner p750 chassis is, less heat getting dumped into the unified heatsink compared to a GTX1080.

Generally speaking yes, although there are some exceptions such as Metro Exodus.

Congratulations for your upgrades. Let me know how much do you want for the 1080,
