P670HS-G - Power Jack malfunctioning (motherboard) - or is it the charger?

    Model: P670HS-G from HIDEvolution

First, I've tested the female end coming from the powersupply and am getting 19.5V steady.

The problem is, when plugged into the computer, the plug has to be rotated in the jack to get it to recognize that its plugged in.

I took the bottom panel off and plugged it in and if I push the plug all the way into the jack it won't recognize but if I back it out a bit, it will start charging as normal. If I turn/rotate the plug inside the jack the charging/plugged-in lights blink on or off.

I'm suspecting its a problem with the jack on the motherboard but could it be the female end of the plug instead?

Anyone else had/have a similar problem?

I would get the jack inspected and not play around with it anymore.

Worst case is the PCB is broken around the jack and wiggling it is causing more damage.
