Hello, i'm having an issue with this particular model.

Before this i had my hands on an acer predator g5-793 which was awesome. The only downside to it it was it had terrible bleeding at the top corners. In rest the laptop was pure awesome but because of the bleed/glow i returned it and waited a time. That one had 75hz gsync and only had gtx 1060 , no intel , no optimus... which is great for a gaming laptop.

My problem is with the nvidia not showing display tab in the nvidia control center as it is handled by the intel driver. How in the hell i enable g-sync or how do i know i have gsync enabled.
Also it's my first device that has dead pixels... can't return it unfortunately, i have to get used to some dead pixels. But my main problem is that v-sync at 60 fps causes a diagonal line when i play games with v-sync on. If v-sync is off i have no problems , but if i'm gaming i don't want to go more than 60-70 fps cause the laptop cooling system transforms in an airplane... which sucks. So i used dxtory to limit my fps to 59 then to 70. If i limit to 60 fps it would cause a diagonal tearing that goes from upper left to lower right corner.

My problem is , i don't know if my g-sync is on because there is no display tab to show me that. I used nvidia inspector to look on global settings but i guess i have to have better understanding of hex to know what values are on.

I kind of regret a little that i bought this laptop , mainly because the cooling system is loud , it has some dead pixels , at 60fps i have screen tearing and optimus on gaming laptop COMPLETELY SUCKS.

You have to change the primary graphics adapter from "MSHYBRID" to "DISCRETE". You can do this in the Clevo Control Center, or by entering the BIOS setup and going to Advanced Chipset Control.

    Where are they located?

I have one in the center-upper part that is permanent , one next to it that it goes on and off. And one was in the right side, but it disappeared.
I say i can't because i have no warranty on it, unfortunately :(

But maybe they are temporary. I'll see what i can do about what you have told me. Thank you for your time.

Alrighty. One trick that might work: Take something soft (e.g. a pencil eraser) and apply some heat to the pixels in question while massaging them. If the pixel is "stuck", it might resolve it.

Thank you very much for the discrete tip... good thing i entered here. I looked all over internet and found nothing. Now i have nvidia display and i can see the g-sync option.

The pixel is stuck on green... i can see it only on dark color. I tried applying pressure with my fingertip while powering on the laptop and some pixel fixing thing that changes color on that spot , but none worked. I will try what you have advised me. Thank you again for your time

Lighter colours will contain more green so stuck on pixels show up less. Massaging usually works pretty quickly if its going to work.

Well didn't manage to clear the pixel but i am having other issues.

    1. The fan contol is driving me nuts. They have only (automatic)very fast and maximum. If i put custom and start temp 51c and stop temp 40c with maximum fan speed of 80% i hear no fans but the temp goes to 70c only playing hearthstone. When it gets to hot the fans pop at high speed making a lot of noise. (I did a format and install the ccc without xtu) but no luck. I downloaded obsidian tools and installed/updated all the drivers including ccc. The automatic mode produces a lot of noise, i would have liked a better control over the fans.
    2. I want to update the bios, in obsidian tool there appears to be a bios update but i cannot update it. How can i update the bios to latest version?
    3. I started experiencing something for which i returned my acer predator 17x , it started to glow/bleed in the top-left corner of the display. If i apply little pressure on the case , a little to the right of the top-left corner.. it disappears. Same issue was with the predator.

This is the fan profile the EC dictates, unfortunately. We and several other resellers are aware, and hopefully Clevo is as well.

Check with @John@OBSIDIAN-PC if you're trying to use his update tool.

And backlight bleeding is all too common, even normal. Some of it is the panel, some of it is the pressure from the frame/front bezel.
