    Howdy everyone,

I bought the P37x v6 with the 4k screen in mid November 2016 and have been generally pleased with the product. However during my travels abroad during the holidays it looks like a fair number of pixels (about 2 cm tall) have been damaged in two separate places from either the keyboard or the hand rest area next to the track pad pressing into the screen while the laptop is closed. The problem is really only noticeable as two areas of purple pixels when attempting to display a full black background. My questions are:

    1) Is this expected behavior? If so what steps should I take to prevent another occurrence of this problem from occurring again?
    2) Any chance of getting this fixed under Gigabyte's warranty as this may be due to a design defect? Their RMA/warranty page is likely intentionally vague (http://www.gigabyte.com/WebPage/56/Definition-of-bright-dot-black-dot.html) which leads me to believe the answer is No.

    Thanks in advance everyone!

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your screen.

Could you share a picture of it at all? That might help.

Either way, I would still reach out to Gigabyte to see if that is covered under warranty or not. Send them some pictures and your serial number on the computer to find out. It doesn't hurt to ask, and at least open a ticket with them in case the pixels get worse.
