My 30-month old P35x v3 just got some problems in power control circuits and the power adapter short circuits whenever the battery is plugged in. It could only be used without the battery (and it's not the battery's fault). I sent it for a hasty repair last week. The guy was so irresponsible that he took off a few transistors, caps and resistors only to realize that he could not figure it out and gave up. I took the laptop back and now it is completely dead (no way to tell which components were removed). So is it possible that I can find some real experts from some repair shops (I'm not even sure if this kind of shops exist anymore! ) who know about circuits and soldering to repair the motherboard? I live in Maryland. If not, is there any place I can find a replacement motherboard for P35x v3?? I guess V4 would also work? I searched everywhere online without any luck. I also contacted Gigabyte support and they told me that just sending the laptop for examination costs $100, and no more information about the charge to replace motherboard. I don't think it a good idea to send my laptop away for 3-5 weeks only to receive some huge bills. Any idea is appreciated!!
