    Hello,

Does anyone have a part number for the media bar for this specific laptop?

I was able to find the part #'s for the P-68 and P-78 series, but they are different numbers.

I want to make sure I have a media bar that actually works for a P-7908u mobo.

I know using a stock P-7805 case I converted using a P-79xx main board without an issue.

Good to know. I can tear apart this thing again, but i'm hoping its the bar. I guess i'll pick up a used one for cheap, any P-79x or P-78xx and rule out the media bar and then go from there.

Do you actually use the media bar? I have never used it. Wait, I do use the volume -+ on the bar even though it is not lighted on my machine anymore. When I upgraded to Win 7 that volume bar went dark but still works.
