    Per the topic:

3.5 mm jack on laptop - won't hold headphone or earbud plugs...very loose, keep popping out.

I checked for dirt/debris dust bunnies in the jack...completely clean.

Any ideas / suggestions? (I'd rather not go with a USB-C - 3.5 mm headphone plug adapter, since these adapters run at only USB 1.1 speed....which is good for only around 192 kbps audio, max. The USB-C port itself is USB 3.1 speed).

If memory serves me correctly, this little daughterboard has the LAN jack, one USB port, and the 3.5mm audio jack. You could probably have Eluktronics order one for you.

You might want to take your bottom cover off and have a look. The part is easily accessible and would only take a few minutes to replace. Motherboard removal is not necessary.

Now that looks encouraging. I'll have to give it a shot.

    Much obliged, Mr. Fox!
