Turn on CPU performance in the bios and then adjust your memory timings on intel XTU. With my Samsung DDR4 2667, I was able to go from 19-19-19-43-467 to 15-17-17-35-460. It has increased my FPS in some games and has made the laptop feel more snappy and less sluggish.

That's some bold claims! Can you back that up with some numbers and evidence so we can quantify this and decide if it's worth doing ourselves?
    Cheers

I'd say the biggest difference is geothermal valley on the rise of the tomb raider benchmark. It gets an average fps increase from 100 to 110. 10% increase. Max FPS goes up on all parts of the benchmark. Definitely important if you have a high refresh rate monitor.

Update - I've decided to prioritize speed instead of timings. I assumed the motherboard wouldn't let me go higher than 2667 but it does. Now I am doing 18-18-18-42-467 @ 3000 mhz instead of 19-19-19-43-467 @ 2667. A great overclock i'd say especially without touching voltage. I must have gotten lucky.

Have you noticed any performance difference going from CL15 at 2666mhz to CL18 at 3000mhz? You have higher true latency with those timings at 3000mhz, but you didnt update to see if there was any difference.

15 r3 can take 2667MHz if you're interested. Get Standard Crucial RAM or HyperX or Vengeance series or Gskill ripjaws.
