Well this the thing, this is just a VBS script that commands the XTU service to adjust the CPU speed. It's just too simple of a tool that a source code makes no sense, a .txt file changed to .VBS and to .exe so it can be run on command center tactx. If you're so afraid it is a virus , hey don't bother because I honestly don't have time for that type of thing, I created that tool so when the CPU is overclocked the fan speed won't be so annoying, they never stop spinning when performance mode is on, so that was my way to fix it, I made it for myself and since I have seen many people complaining about the same thing I decided to share it, because why not though.. so again, you don't have to try it, because I'm sure your paranoia is caused by the many virus you get on common threads like this one.. Right

Don't take me wrong dude. I'd love to try it out. But I also don't install unkown software on my PC just like that.

I bet more people are waiting on the source before installing too.

Well I understand but there's not source code here or any programs to install. There's not coding involved at all which is why I don't have anything on Github, this is not a software either, it is a command line that talks to XTU, it is inspired by this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...-volt-in-xtu-without-opening-it.802143/page-5

Here he shows you how to do it, I learned from that and made it my own, there's no need for source code for something that's not a software, it's just txt file with the value you want to apply and then changed to .VBS so you can run it with task manager or however you want , and like my friend I'm not a programmer, just a tech Enthusiast who wants to get the best out the $3k machine I bought from Alienware. Check the thread I mentioned and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Then what are those Profile-#.exe executables? Some shady stuff happening.

This actually sounding disrespectful though, the executable are the VBS file converted to .exe using a free software called vbs to exe, and the reason why is an executable it's because alienware Tacxt doesn't run anything but .exe for shortcut and I'm sure you know that. So to apply custom profiles on the fly with the keys the vbs had to be executable... It sounds just crazy how paranoid people act, like if it is a malware that I spent time on just to harm people, and their product, like what the h$+* dude, I'm not a software developer or anything of that nature, just a casual gamer who bought an expensive Alienware and their overclocking software sucks ass so i made my own tool using XTU service so I can have full control of it.. so I didn't spend hours making a random thread on a forum of a laptop not many people have to fool them, it sounds so ignorant after already mentioned why there is not a source code on the previous post and mentioned where I got main idea and source from.. I made this for myself so when I use LaunchBox I can apply any of those profile when a game starts and re-apply the default one when the game closes. And I found that people would find it cool so I shared it.. I didn't have to, I did, and wish I didn't.

No need to hysterize, but you need to understand that if you really care - show people that it is safe. If you don't care - then you think right, better you didn't share it.

And actually you can run anything in TactX, just change the extension filter in file selection dialog..
