    **OFFICIAL W765CUH/NP7652 Owners Lounge**

As with it's predecessor, I don't expect many people to purchase this notebook. However, with the jump to the Intel Arrandale platform and a discrete video card, it might be more appealing to the casual crowd.

Since I am set on purchasing it I thought I would make an Owners Lounge with all the usual content... even if it's just me talking to myself. :p

Some reasons to consider this notebook:

    • Intel Core i5/i7 processor
    • ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
    • Clean and sleek design
    • Chiclet keyboard
    • Multi-Gesture touch pad
    • Starting price is under $1000

At the time of this posting, the NP7652 is not yet listed for purchase on Sager reseller sites. Hopefully they will have it up soon. Resellers will typically have a lower price than Sager itself.

According to Brian Liaw at Sager, the NP7652 will be shipping in approximately 2 weeks.

Too bad they didn't do a little better for the video card on this one.

Yeah, I wish it was a little more powerful as well. Still, it's a big jump over the nVIDIA GeForce 105m in the previous model.

I am definitely considering buying this laptop (either this, or the Lenovo Thinkpad T410). Can anyone comment on (based on experience with the previous edition) how nice the keyboard feels? This is the only thing which might prevent me from buying this laptop. I have typed on a Macbook Pro, which seems to have a similar keyboard, and I didn't think it felt so great.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Here is a thread on it's predecessor:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=419351

Previous owners seem to love the keyboard, which is also one of my main draws to it.

EDIT: If a mod is reading this and could add the H in W765CUH in the thread title it would be great!

So I am trying to figure out who to order this system through.

    - PowerNotebooks lists only the 1600x900 screen as LED backlit.
    - XoticPC lists both as LED backlit.
    - I use live chat with XoticPC to confirm the 1366x768 screen is LED backlit and the rep say he cannot confirm it.
    - Sager responds to my e-mail saying both are LED backlit, but PowerNotebooks, which gets the notebook from Sager, lists only the one as LED backlit.

RJTech lists it as LED backlit but they do not get it from Sager.
