    Hello all.
    I bougth a brand new adata 240gb sp580 ssd for my sovy vaio svf14n1e2es and the laptop dont want to boot with that ssd.
    The ssd is working fine in other laptops.
    So i guess i need to bay difrent brand for my sony laptop?
    What brand to buy for that sony laptop ,will the samsung 750 ssd or crucial mx300 will work ?
    Samsung 850 series too ?

    This thread is dead and gone but I'm gonna post here anyway!

    Just bought a black SVF15N i7 with an Nvidia GPU off eBay for $400. Absolutely gorgeous design!

    Replaced the keyboard, upgraded the 1TB HHDD to a Samsung EVO 500GB, added 8GB of RAM for a total of 16GB, cleaned and replaced the thermal paste on the cpu and gpu chips. Did the whole system recovery to 8.1 and upgrade to Windows 10. With BIOS and Windows 10 updates this laptop boots in 7 seconds and runs like the champ!

    I like it slightly more than my Surface Pro 4 i7. It's a little more lappable, has a bigger display, plays games a little better (e.g. XCOM2), and the keyboard is nicer. Touchscreen is slightly less responsive, camera quality is worse but this thing is way more repairable!

    Wonderful laptop. Wish Sony still made these!!

    Well Vaio is back with the 13 inch flip. Of course it has a very high price, and dont have the dGPU
