The performance gain is a rumour, that is for sure, there's literally zero evidence to support it, but the fact that 1080ti is EOL right this moment is not a rumour, Romanian shops can't conceal this info due to their rather inferior informatic systems, so instead of showing stuff out of stock always, they show stuff exactly as it is

    - out of stock

    - supplier out of stock

    - EOL, won't be stocked agian, it isn't produced anymore

    That is most probable.

That will probably be the sweet spot to get one.

yea man. tbh was a little disappointed with just 6 cores because you know desktop can go to like 16-18 cores easy. and also because ive had an 8 core cpu in 570wm had a taste of 8 core with large L3cache.

the new 8 core gona be great if its on 10nm+, use less power and similar overclocking capability as 14nm++, wont be as good but good enough for most, possibly some ipc improvement as well. ultimately hoping for a brand new redesign from clevo though, but still wouldn't mind if they used same chassis as i have already invested into 870tm, could use more of the same parts.

Even though they have the same name...e.g. nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080...they are totally different cards for laptops and desktops. The desktop version is HUGE compared to the laptop version.

lmao that's hilarious. Now they're spinning "high end" as "enthusiast" so they can say their midranged is "high end"...

Where is that rumor even from? That "rumor" just partially justifies the stupid $700 launch price for midranged silicon, and I find it very distasteful that Guru3D would evenpropagate it. It's like "yes, let's them charge more and more for GPUs, it's fine guys".
