    The Sager NP9390 laptops based on the Clevo P375SM and P370SM models have been officially announced.

    UPDATE 07/02/2013

    There is an EC/BIOS fix coming to turn off the touchpad, speaker bar lights, and each third of the keyboard lighting.

    New backlight keyboard / volume bar / touchpad Hot Key functions: (Sager NP8250, NP8290, NP9390)

    Fn+ - : Volume bar On/Off.
    Fn+ pad 7 : keyboard Left Section On/Off.
    Fn+ pad 8 : keyboard Middle Section On/Off.
    Fn+ pad 9 : keyboard Right Section On/Off.
    Fn+ pad 5 : Touchpad On/Off.

    We are currently finalizing testing of updated BIOS / EC Firmware and hotkey driver to support above listed backlight on/off switches.

    Customers can contact Sager Techsupport for the updated BIOS / EC Firmware and hotkey driver on Friday 7/5/2013.



    UPDATE 07/01/2013: There is a 3D version of the P370SM in the works called P370SM3. Will post info when avaialable!

    Looks like $1667 with an 8970m through xotic. Add dual 780ms for $850. Comes out to a couple hundred $ more pricey than the p370em was with dual 680ms. I'm torn... I don't really like the new design to pay that premium.

    Will the 9390 be available with a 120hz lcd anytime soon?

    Define soon? There will be a 3D model, that will have the 120Hz screen, but that will be later this summer (End of June / July) ' ish

    Heck with it: just preordered a nicely-spec'ed P375SM. ETA is "mid-June", but we'll see. I was really looking at the new GT750 with a 780m, but considering Asus seriously overpriced this model and the P375SM with dual 780ms costs about the same...

    Really hoping:

    -Cooling is somewhat better than the P370SM models
    -The keyboard is better than what was on PxxEM models
    -The new design is somewhat attractive
    -I can turn off the chintzy back and mousepad LEDs

    Same keyboard.
    I think it is.
    You can turn off the LEDs but the mid keyboard and touchpad are linked IIRC.
