Ok, thanks. What about full load on the GPU (GTX 1080) in this chassis?

Depends on the clocking behavior. The 1080 so long as it's not totally power restricted will use any thermal headroom to clock higher instead.

In the split heatsink config it should not make too much of a difference when the GPU is loaded however.

This OCCT "thing" is very bad for testing in my opinion. I swap to Prime95, and on the same settings in BIOS as you wrote earlier, CPU goes to 118W with no problem, and hitting thermall throttling. I think that maybe intel put some protection which detects OCCT. Ok then, my next move is delid :p.

So I just got my fastest Firestrike Benchmark -- 21813

Finally had my LM GPU repaste stick earlier this week, took a ****load of balancing and double paperclip mod. We also have a cold advisory in effect ;)

#5 Fastest Firestrike 8700k and mobile GTX1080 in the world. Thank you @Mr. Fox @Johnksss @Prema for the motivation. PM870TM what?

And I'll be happy to accept this award... Do I now receive the Prema BIOS as a prize? Heh.

    Good GPU score!

I have yet to release the PremaMod for your model to Partner, THX to Intel no one has it yet.
Mr Fox used the same firmware as you in the 15" (also stock vBIOS) in that run as it was a test unit provided by a non Partner Shop as well.

Hopefully the new micro code won't cause any restarts or BSODs :p
