So I witnessed some strange behavior from my GPU. When playing Witcher 3 (everything high/ultra, 1080p) my temps are normally around 65°C with a conservative Afterburner undervolt and max fans. Since the past week after an hour of gaming or so with stable temperatures, suddenly my temperature ramps up really quickly, 1 degree per second, until it hits 86°C or more. Instead of throttling the gpu keeps its clock, then crashes the game. Before I was able to 'fix' this erratic behavior by reverting Afterburner to standard voltage settings, restarting, then reapplying my undervolt. Now this no longer appears to work. If I don't apply the undervolt, or underclock the card, the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Follow temps, power consumption and fan speed. This for both the Cpu and Gpu. Aka follow what is about to change.

Do you have liquid metal applied on the GPU die?

    Good evening

First of all I'm sorry but my English not so perfect but I will try do my best explaining whats going on .

I have few issues with my Clevo P775TM1 ( PC Specailist Octane VI. )

I got my brand new clevo ( i7 9700 ( non k ) , 2x8GB RAM , 250GB Samsung SSD , 1TB Samsung SSD , rtx 2080 , Full HD 144hz G-sync panel ) few days ago . Out of the box strait away I have noticed something not right .... under stress test ( aida64 ) core temperatures were strangely very low ! Later I have noticed when I put the cpu under stress the cpu ( all core , see picture1 ) down clock itself .

I seen Package power ( Turbo boost power limit ) only 11W witch is post to be least 65W ! Took me few hours figure it out what is wrong ! First I thought maybe the power adaptor or electric socket ... I was wrong . I did install xtu for looking around what a heck going on and that is what I have found :

CPU core icc max ( default setting ) only 10A !!! T and U type Intel CPUs runs on 66A icc core max so this 10A for desktop grade CPU far too low !

I have changed that to 130A + 85W turbo boost power limit and everything works fine .

Other problem more serious because I can't find anything for fix it !

I have no G-sync option in nVidia control panel ! rtx 2080 ( driver 441.41 ) + Full HD 144hz g-sync panel . Device manager only one display adaptor ( rtx2080 ) so optimus not an issue .

I'm not sure what exactly is the source of those problems but I have a wild ques , both problems point to the motherboard . EC malfunction , BIOS . Also find few articles about i7 9700 ( non k ) has issues with G-sync support .

    BIOS version : 1.07.27 ( updated from 1.07.25TPCS3 )
    KBC/EC firmware : 1.07.13

Any suggestions more than welcome .

    Thank you

At first sight I don't see anything abnormal. Fan speed is at constant max fans, power consumption is relatively stable. CPU is downclocked to a steady 3.7ghz when playing Witcher3 (doesn't need more) with a 60fps cap in RTSS. I'll do some more tests on Monday.

Yes... but if there was something wrong with the LM I would see temps rising immediately, or not?

Call support. Test also with older Nvidia drivers. No Optimus on Clevo LGA models.

Your pictures is broken. Sign up and use Imgur host.
Yeah, do more tests. You yourself said the temps increased fast.

Liquid metal will diffuse into copper over time, so temperatures might have been fine initially but degrade over time. I'd check the application and reapply if necessary.

Plus if the LM dries in a small area you can get hot spots on the die the temp readings will not report.

    Hi

I have issues with audio drivers from windows 10 update. It seems the audio is always blocked at maximum volume , despite controlling its level . Each time it updates audio drivers automatically.
So I disable windows update and installed audio drivers from clevo site , it works here ,as I can change volume I want , but I cannot open audio realtek manager or sound blaster connect.
    Any fix ?

What about the drivers from your reseller or the latest from the realtek site?
