Which has the matte? Also, does that mean i couldn't upgrade the NP8130 in the future?

I dont think you can for the 8130 since the 485m is not an option you can select for it.

The cheaper has the matte. I'm guessing that you could on second inquiry, but it begs the question of why to seperate the configs other than the different PSUs.

(just noticed 8150 is quads only while 8130 starts with dual core.)

Yeah, that's the number you hear most often, but I've never seen anything from an official source. Just wondering about headroom with the 485m(s) and an extreme processor.

Depends if you're talking 8150 or 8170. That's 180W vs 220W respectively for the PSUs.

wow the 8130 is really looking good

    i7 2630QM
    gtx 460m
    8gb ram
    15.6" 1920x1080 matte

    USD 1172

glad i didnt pull the trigger on the 8760, apart from the sandy bridge processor i can get a matte screen instead of a glossy lol

what's weird is that I configured the 8150 to the exact same specs as the 8130 and it was around $200 more expensive. Is their something I'm missing here?

The 8130 has a cheaper Blu-ray reader upgrade too ($50 instead of $120).

the 8130 comes with default 8gb ram, 8150 also comes with a larger PSU i believe.
