    Why did MSI go away from G-Sync screens in the new GS models?
    It is very stupid in my opinion.
    I like the new Raider series but without G-Sync it's a automatic reason to not buy in this day and age especially for the prices they are asking for this model.

    @MSIGeno

    I emailed Ming Rong for the trade-in program but didn't get a response...it's been 2 weeks now.

    I would like to ask if you can already tell steelseries to make a European keyboard instead of using US layout in Europe. :) I can't get used to use the smaller Enter key.

    I believe only the GS series has the Max Q GPU for now. The GE72 should have the stock 1070, though not sure how well it runs compared to bigger machines like the GT series.

    I doubt it is full 1070. It is much hotter than 1060 which was in these laptops before...

    The 17" laptops can cool a 1070, and were doing it for a year before the Max-Q laptops came out.

    Even 15,6 can with proper cooling... For MSI GE was always "premium budget" series. I'm concerned because for example HP says GTX 1060 on their 15,6 Omen while Notebookcheck guys were surprised to get Max-Q 1060 variant instead 1060N.

    The N and MQ aren't real, they are made up by various posters. The correct names are just using the number, like 1060 - which can be for laptop and desktop, both have varying TDP support depending on the board / laptop maker.

    Max-Q is enough of a name applied to each number model.

    The bad thing is vendors aren't being clear now where the Max-Q model is used verses the straight full model.

    MSI didn't have anything at all on their product pages leading up to release, and I thought they were always going to be straight full GPU's, but it took so long to come out, many many months, that when they finally did come out they were Max-Q lower performance models.

    So, be careful :)
