    BGA SSDs are little expensive to make and deploy on ultrabooks so that's why SSD are not soldered. In 5 years everything will be onboard.

    There are major clients who want that! Intel, iFruits, Samsung, Micron,MSFT etc.. are working on it as we speak

    Nope, You're wrong bruh. The notebook manufacturers know if they weld it to the motherboard you're forced to buy everything from them. They can just solder on the smallest possible BGA ssd package if costs is of concern. Same as they do with smartphones. Pay more and you'll get bigger package of storage welded into your phone.

    Speak of the devil BGA now its reality. First GP versions will either be Samsung/Micron/SK Hynix BGA NVMe in small packages. I think the controllers will be very hot 100-150C.
