Nvidia killed the possibility of M marking on regular Mobile cards when they threw out Max-Q out of their hat for their Scam cards. Now it's a huge mess more than ever. This was doomed to come.

    razermq.PNG Big NEWS!

I have successfully flashed the 90W TDP Bios of the 2070 MQ razer blade 15 onto my 2070 MQ.

Interesting how Max-Q has now gone from the device name in 3dMArk and device manager!

Its working great so far, still testing will report back with benchs results.

This might also allow me to finally update the drivers!

Trying to OC now but GPU utilisation is hitting 93-94% we are hitting cpu bottleneck

Hi Zill, I’m going to PM you. I have a 90w 2080 Max-Q bios and need guidance with flashing.

1st TimSpy with 90W TDP Bios on 2070 ex-mq (lol) decent +500 points still working on OCing

    tsrzrmq.PNG

It sure is helping the 2070 stretch its legs a little, its sustaining higher clocks but whats even better is the temps are looking just as cool.

I am getting closer to 30K, I think I’ll hit it. The MSI mxm 2080 is insane. Haven’t seen a laptop 2080 sustain 2000+ on the core and not crash. Memory is now at +1100!

Whats crazy is I have flashed the razer 2070 MQ 90W bios on to my 2070 MQ and now my 2070 shows up as "RTX 2070" in device manager and 3dMark. It used to say "2070 with Max-Q design" before when I was on the 80W bios.

Is nvidia charging extra to OEMs for the 90W Bios and the premium of hiding the Max-Q in the device ID?

Thats probably it. I am just using the trial version for testing as I don't have the full game, so they probably don't keep that updated.

I imagine that would just be on the OEMs.

    Thanks to Zill, I’ve successfully flash my 80w 2080 Max-Q to a 90w variant.
I’ll be running tests today and I’ll post my findings.

So what are your sustained core and memory clocks now?
