I think I need to be overclocked right now as well. I'm not even half way finished and I'm ready to be done with it. I took vacation time to do that project and I'm hoping to have at least a day or two to enjoy it before I have to go back to the grindstone.

Didn't they have that running on a Casscade or Phase Change setup?

Yes, that did not pan out well for AMD

    @Mr. Fox

Waiting for my cables to come in as well. I decided to change a few things.

    Chiller.... at 5ghz though.

I am more interested on the GPU side though.... Volta is already 1 year old tech so...

Well, it's been a long time in the making but my project is finally nearing completion. Finishing up making sure there are no leaks or anything after a small leak over the weekend during my leak test. Plan on buying custom sleeved cables for my GPU and the 24pin power cable for my motherboard and getting cable combs, but I'm happy to finally have the thing up and running and almost done. Ignore the ugly lights as I have not gone through and changed anything or even put the panels back on the case but soon I should be able to begin OCing.

Edit: Okay wtf am I doing wrong that I can never post images on NBR?

Ah yes, your right. They did mention it being a chiller.
Volta is far older than that.....And really shouldn't matter unless it's 50 to 100 percent faster than current gen. A new GPU just to get 5 FPS more is not a real improvement....unless you were only getting 5 FPS in the first place. But still, interesting all the same.

    Looking good.
Only one recommendation. And that is.....use the blue shop towels. they are way better for catching water and are also reusable.[IMG]

Congrats. Looking forward to seeing more about it. Nice looking setup, bro.

    Answer: User error.

You are using the wrong link. Your photo link is actually a link to the page for the photo. You need to use a direct link to the photo, or choose the Imgur option for BBCode.

Here is what you posted: https://imgur.com/a/UJnuBO7

Here is a direct link to the image: https://i.imgur.com/2TX3Iak.jpg

Using the BBCode option is as easy as clicking on the blue "Copy" button and then pasting that code into your post.

You can also right click the image and choose "Open image in a new tab" and use that URL. (The URL in the new tab that opens is a direct link to the image.)

I estimate that VRM setup is designed to take around 1300-1500w steady state, transient up to 2000/2400w. For 28 cores.

As for Volta, I already tested a Titan V awhile ago and I currently have some big discounts on GV100 Quadros but as you said, its not that big of a improvement and Volta has other issues. Tensor core is very nice though but still...

Well, little by little. Got the closet done and the drywall textured and primed. Tomorrow I will paint and lay the laminate flooring, then Thursday install the bi-folding door and trim work. I'm ready for this to be finished. I'm tired and sore, LOL. I'm good at carpentry work, but do not care for it. But, I'm not going to pay someone else to do it. Will make a nice new home for Trómos and Machete, and the turdbook I use for work.
