No they don't. I have to set it with evga eleet. The bclk freq does.

if that was set when you changed cpu's...that would cause a corruption in the os. (speculation of course) with me switching my cpus and forgetting to change the bclk or multi, some would make it through after a few bsod...and others would just get worse..system restore to last working boot up or restore last known good configuration was what i did about 95 percent of the time.. i have about 10 different cpu's and boards.

No it wasn't. One of the first things I do when swapping procs is reset bios to default. Regardless I had a 720QM installed and changing the bclk frequency is not an option with that processor.

On a side note I think I might know why I have the failed posting issues. I need to do more testing but it looks like if you change your memory you need to reseat the processor. That's the only explanation I can come up with since I haven't had posting issues since upgrading my proc....at least not yet.

now that makes allot of sense.
i too have to either re seat the ram or cpu from time to time.
in my case...ill get 4 gigs of ram instead of 6 gigs.

not sure if you came across this problem yet?

No but I've seen people complain in the G73 threads about not reading all their memory.

If that is the answer to my posting issue I may just have to keep this system assuming there are not issues with games. ;)
