Thanks. I'll make sure I have those.
Also, any tips on applying conductonaut? I didn't realize this was liquid metal, I initially thought it was regular paste.

I guess that would be considered using too much. A pea sized amount it what I'll be going for.
That electric tape stuff is what I'm more worried about.

Wait, this laptop doesn't have any aluminium parts in the heatsink and CPU/GPU area, right?

Definitely do some research before applying liquid metal. You can't really just squirt out a pea shaped blob and use the heatsink to spread it, you want to make sure you get a good spread application yourself.

Definitely sealing off components with electrical tape is a good idea because liquid metal will short your motherboard if any of it drips onto the board or gets squeezed out from under the heatsink.

I'd look up some how to videos on Youtube as well just to get an idea of how it's going to look.

I'm planning to follow this guide almost exactly. It looks like it covers everything I need for a successful repaste.

Hi does anyone know how to disconnect or off the battery, preferably with pictures, when replacing parts such as the ssd or ram? Can't find any disconnect switch and tried pulling the battery cable out but seems to be quite stiff and don't dare to proceed further. Thanks!

I'm looking into buying a used aero 15 which has been upgraded with an additional 16gb ram and 512 ssd.

The seller just told me this after I showed interest in buying it.

"This morning the keyboard lost connection to the motherboard for a second. Never happened before, but I think I'm going to open it back up to take a look at the cable. I'll let you know how that goes, but I'm sure this would be covered by warranty if you'd rather me not open it up."

Is this something I should be worried about?

It has already been upgraded which I'm pretty sure doesn't void the warranty, would checking this connection void the warranty?

I'm getting the laptop at an insane price, but I'm really wanting to keep the warranty intact if I buy it.

    Thanks.

Hi guys, do you know when the Aero 15 X will be available for Europe?
Would also love to get a Swiss keyboard layout. Gigabyte told me in mid September it would be released by the end of September and still nothing. :(
