Ah I think I got the idea. So both versions work but have different bugs, kinda funny tho. Lets see who makes the first bug free version

How about the P870DM3 with vapor chamber heatsink?

    vapor chamber is GPU only.

But it's connected with the CPU heatsink, sharing heat somehow...

Prema said it wasn't enough, I think based on either his or @bloodhawk testing 8700K in DM3.

It could be run with lower power limits or shorter turbo and it'd make a decent upgrade over 6700K

Heat from the CPU fins goes to the copper plate soldered on top, through thermal pad, to copper plate, to heat pipes, to VC. I think it is designed for shunting heat from the GPU (esp slave) over to the CPU fin stack more than the other direction. Trying to optimise it vs removing the pad entirely led only a few C difference either way over long heavy CPU-only use

The TM heatsink designed for 8700K omits this setup entirely

Yes the dm3 moved heat into the CPU section, it was decided that was a bit overkill.

I modded the P870TM heatsink to fit my P870DM-G in order to help with the heat but sadly, it only reduced by 5-10C which is still not enough to handle any kind of overclocking on the i7-8086k.

I would recommend to reduce the core voltage offset by 100mv if you use that CPU, helps a lot.
