What with Dual Channel "flex" mode, meaning that 2 modules will run as dual channel and the remaining one in single channel? Of course if the MB support it.

Not for many years, the memory controller/OS will stack the ram so the first two sticks are interleaved and then the final one is stacked on top as single channel to be used last. It's quite clever really.

Many thanks to @dsanke . Not only does the 9900K work with a P870DM3, it's able to give some impressive performance despite only 3 heat pipes on the default cooler. Bare in mind that I have 'only overclocked to 4.6 Ghz all cores, undervolted -95mV and kept the max TDP at 135W all in the name of thermals. I am perhaps missing out on a theoretical 10%-15% compared to others who OC-ed to 5.0GHz all core, but I'm going to be running 3D rendering and compiling on a daily basis and would prefer a longer life over high performance benchmark runs. At the very least, I think I can hit stock scores with a little raise in max TDP, which I feel is impressive in a laptop going 2+ years old now.

So far, I haven't had any problems with ethernet and audio. Also still have G-Sync.

Again, many thanks to @dsanke for the BIOS and @DaMafiaGamer for the guide.
