The fact that it can go through 4 generations of CPUs, with modding, is mind boggling. 6700K>7700K>8700K>9900K

This is for perspective, early bench leaks. Not apples to apples comparison due to R2 running overclocked.

I must’ve had the M17x r2. Mine had that dumb heat shield thing. It wasn’t too bad though. Literally day 1 I had to open it up because it had a crossfire setup and one end of the cable wasn’t plugged it. It was tapped to the socket but not plugged in. Ran pretty well after that. Had it for atleast 4 years I believe before I sold it. Kinda miss that thing.

Check my signature. Old Clevo P870 from 2015 with 6700K>7700K>8700K>9900K. And all gen chips with ok scores:)

X170SM-G revision 2 has been tested. I can’t seem find out what they changed, but the cpu temps are slightly lower while maintaining a higher boost.

while stressing both 10700k+2080s, the 2080s only hit 69c, which is lower than the older version which hit 74c. This should mean increase in headroom for gpu OCing, I haven’t tried ocing the gpu yet thou.

CPU is hitting 120-125w while stressing cpu+gpu which now matches or slight beats, thou I suspect it has more to do with cpu lottery rather than actually beating 51m.

so basically, cpu is matching 51m, gpu is beating 51m at the moment.

again, this is still a test unit, final unit may have changes. If you would like me to test anything, let me know, I should still have time to test it before need to send it back.

2070s final units will be shipped on the 3rd, while the 2080s will ship 1-2days after. This is the time schedule in China. Expect retailers worldwide to follow right after.

    p.s hopefully no more delays

Hello, thank you for the test
What temp is the CPU reaching while stress test CPU + GPU?

Unlikely to make much of a difference in games. Plus going full pelt 10 cores is still going to consume more power.

Factory oem thermal paste, 98c for cpu (4.4-4.5ghz all core) and 69 for gpu. I haven’t tweaked it, to further lower the temps, I need to lower the voltage a bit, and also delid it. So expect a slightly high boost while lowering the temps a bit. I am not sure how much thou. I can’t delid this cpu to test it as it was supplied by the factory.

I am running TS now to see what are the numbers for this new revision. My expectations are higher than what it was. Might even match the P870KM posted above.

Clevo could still improved the cpu cooling a lot more but I guess they were to close to the final shipping dates to actually make big changes.

Thank you for sharing this, interesting stuff. So the thermalsolution is the same, but the fan profiles might have been tweaked to be more aggressive?
Can you test temps with Cinebench R15 and R20, at stock and 5Ghz, if possible with fn+1 max fans? As well as record the CPU temps for just Firestrike/TimeSpy physics tests.

    98c is not very cool^^
It's will be my first Clevo DTR, how do you think thermal grizzly Kryonaut will cool the CPU? I don't know a lot about thermal past efficiency difference.

And is someone know if obsidianpc is a good seller?
