As soon as I get in hand and run test I will post results. I am supposed to have a 3080 by June 11th but I'm not holding my breathe. I feel another delay coming as my boy has told me clevo is having issues getting them in stock for full laptops so he has having issues getting more freely. He said he got lucky with his first 5.

Small radiators and loud fans did not help.

Yeah but if they kept making them for each generation they may have made better versions instead of wussing out after one try. :D

That's fairly common for that sort of thing for the big players.

    I know, I know. :(
I'm sure they made that with no intention of ever making a newer version. Like that Acer ultrawide laptop. But when a laptop starts costing closer to a used car it's time to call it quits.

I was sad when MSI never made more capable gs30 type machines to plug into the same box. 16x PCI-E straight to the CPU so no bottlenecks.

Oh yeeeaaah. With how much they refined their GS line since then this probably would’ve come into it’s own by now. Guess that was a “well it’s not an overwhelming success. . .scrap it”.

As someone who just bought a used car this week, the x170sm-g I bought was double the price BEFORE I put upgrades in it... ;)

They seemed surprised with my interest in it.

    Hi,

I ordered a Clevo with 11900k/3080. Has it fan profiles? Also a silent fan profile?

The Alienware Area 51m has a silent fan-profile, that does not reduce performance at CPU or GPU (only a temperatur-limit 74 degrees for GPU becomes active, but that can be tricked as known).

How is it with the Clevo?

Is there a custom bios for complete fan control?
