I wouldn't call it that. P870 is one of a kind.

    But successor of p775? Totally.

I really like look of this keyboard. It is huge progress over previous clevo keyboards from DTR class. It looks almost the same as the one i have in my msi - steelseries.

I have both of em and msi one is ten times better In every aspect. Sound, typing and illumination is perfect.

X170 is the sucessor of P775. The P870 series were discontinued by Clevo

As things are now those are 2*230W not 330W supplies, as usual we have to unlock the EC limit to upgrade to higher power AC adapters to handle that powerhog of an overclocked i9-10900K, well just to run into the cooling wall...

They use two of the new rectangle type power connectors, the round ones are no longer present.

But there are allways Eurocon's 300 bucks cables...LOL

Will probably end up just cuting the 230W cords to upgrade the existing 330W adapters...

Edit 2: Sadly the info was correct before the first edit.

The X170 is awesome! I am looking forward to the loud laptop speakers. I am probably gonna sell my P750TM1-G very soon, and I will add cash to get this X170.

I hope pricing is not to bad on it. And I hope that OLED panel is a optional add on, because it will be expensive with that OLED option for sure. it is a cool feature. But, will likely add $600-$750 to the total price of the build.

I am ok with a traditional LCD IPS 144HZ 1080P.

Maybe we can get up to 200HZ 1080P in laptops in 2020? Who knows..

    I want 150-200TDP MXM, and a LGA1200 95-125TDP socket and that’s it!

I guess we should all thank Clevo for continuing to use MXM, while MSI and Dell have left the conversation.

I really hope this model does well and their faith is being rewarded.

Personally I am looking forward to the better 4K screen and some more punch in the sound department.
The per key LED keyboard is also a welcome addition.
Well and of course the two extra cores to play with after modding the not officially supported i9 in there...

Exactly. This is successor of p775. Standard is with 2x 230w via datasheet. Keyboard is exactly the same as by nh5x nh7x pb5x pb7x so.. It will be available first with rtx 2080 and than with next generation GPU.
