Meaker is probably better informed to help you but I feel your pain because I've had very similar issues with an M17xr4 (thought IGPU was dead), a 7970 and the inbuilt GPU and this thread has been helpful to me so I thought i'd help if i can.

Screen brightness etc I had issues on with my metabox on a fresh installed until i installed drivers in a specific order, can you access the full latest drivers package at all? I used https://www.metabox.com.au/drivers.asp and then downloaded a package which has an inbuilt installer to install your drivers in order, this worked, manually installing them didn't, not sure where the clevo equivalent is but it's basically just the CD your PC originally shipped with in .exe format.

Just to confirm you're definitely installing the 630 graphics there (you mentioned the 930 ones in your first post).

Have you tried booting to safe mode and installing the official Clevo drivers from safe mode in the order of IGPU then stock nVidia drivers (preferably using package mentioned above?

Also just to rule out the obvious (and from having a quick look) you're installing the driver from here?
    https://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-servi...ftpOut.asp?Lmodel=P95xHPx&ltype=2&submit=+GO+

I'm running the latest intel from the intel website on mine no issues but I believe I installed the stock one first and updated.

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't and you've checked but just double check there's not a keyboard key or BIOS option you're missing, i'd just load optimised again even if you can, it's the kind of little thing I miss.

Sounds like you have been pretty thorough but maybe one of those is worth a shot, i know you mentioned you've tried some of those ^

    Cheers mate,

    Cod

Unfortunately there might be no way around sending it back. In my case and the case of several others, it was simply a connector problem that the reseller exchanged and the problem was gone.

Would I be able to do that on my own? I saw the part online and ordered it. Only issue is located where that display cable is to replace it when I open it up.

Cables can be replaced, connectors not really.

    Hello,
After some setbacks, I'm using the P950HP6 and I'm happy about it.
They could help me with some points, since I'm refining the equipment.

I've already undervolted CPU and temperatures have dropped considerably, I'm just having trouble setting up the Clevo Control Center, setting a setting, any tips?
Also I saw that there is a version of CCC 2.0 but I could not find, can someone make me available, pass a link?

What is the latest bios version available for the P950HP6?

And finally could you tell me a 120Hz IPS screen compatible with this model?

    Thanks again for your help.

So if the connector is bad I'm completely screwed and need a new laptop?

Depends on how bad, a bad solder joint could be repaired by a reasonably skilled tech.

If you guys want to fix the screen brightness its actually very easy.
Although it took me months to figure it out....
You can use up to the latest Intel HD driver and it will work:

I implemented the fix in my Control Station software.
If you do not want to use the Control Station you can just use a small lib that is located at C:\Program Files\Control Station\Libs\AuxSwitch.exe
That AuxSwitch.exe is an exe that was inside the original Clevo Control Center, you need to run it every time you login to windows or everytime you wake the system from sleep.
In Control Station i´m running it every time Control Station starts with windows and i registered for the wakeup event to re-run it then.
Without Control Station you can add a Windows Schedule task to run that exe at windows logon, the only thing missing would be re-run at resuming from sleep.
Notice: The first time you execute that exe it might not work, you will probably need to reboot at least once, from there on it will always work.

    Hope this helps.
