    Well desktop boards have outputs going to the onboard headers on the IGP and then the headers on the GPU itself so you don't have any sort of electronic switching.

    everything to get it to work, as long as not too much stupid stuff involved. if mobile laptops can have iGP working then these laptops with iGPU should have it too. whats missing in these?

    Okay, then this seems like the best solution in my eyes.

    I mean, besides the fact that you add another port, there doesn't seem to be any downside.

    Board edge space is limited and how many are going to use that port Vs something that could be there instead?

    The mobile machines are on the move more often so the increased battery life is more worth investing in. That's the balance it comes down to Vs the firmware development and components to include it in a smaller set of machines (the desktop models ship less numbers than the mobile ones)

    Finding one with exact mounting wouldnbe a challenge. Electrical tape plus blutak would work though :)

    Could anybody point me to where @Johnksss showed us how to get 3000mhz memory running properly and how to undervolt my 8700k. ive google searched and cant find it. TY anyone and everyone.
