Can someone recommend me a good laptop cooler? I know many recommended one that you would mod later but I am on a trip and would like something that just works well out of the box.

No laptop coolers working well out of the box. Flimsy small or the bigger 5v fans doesn't do much. Use whatever you have to raise the back rear end of your laptop. Coke bottle caps work well.

I was doing 1 330W adapter under each back rubber pad until I got my CM U3 Plus w/ NA-FC1 + dual NF-F12 iPPC 2000 PWM lol (awesome combo to invest in btw! fan connectors are awful though, ended up soldering it all together w/ a space saver generic 12V 1A wall adapter)
I would just get a CM U3 Plus and use it with stock fans or no fans at all until you find the time and money to improve it, it works quite well by itself still.

I've got my two 330Ws under the back corners of my U3. Plenty of air flow, for the adapters too.

The OriginPc branded P7 model they tested there severely throttles without our firmware...though not sure how they managed to get such bad results, that indeed takes some extra effort.
