@Meaker@Sager Any insight on the power mod? I don't see shunt resistors that are marked wit "S", there are around 5 of them, each having parallel resistors. Guess you modified the ones near the power cable? Thanks!

I can't for the life of me find anything marked with S, they are marked with RS and there are 3. RS1, RS2 and RS3.

I can confirm that XTU messes with Automatic fan table permanently, tho not with custom fan profile which i'm using rn.
Reinstalling Clevo CC with XTU installed and setting fan to custom after rebooting works.

CMOS reset without main battery installed did not fix it, even running linux as main os.

Would it be possible to dump the EC from a working system and flash it on the defective units?

    My clevo rebrand is Sager.

So far i'm very disappointed by Clevo/Sager/whatever not highlighting this issue as it affects the usuability of the laptop, e.g running other OS or simply not installing Clevo CC. P150SM days were much better :p i think this will be the last one...

My p870dm3 will be exchanged with something other than Clevo.
I guess the "corporate" bios/ec game has ruined it all, and Clevo doesnt know how to design their systems either.

    This is a big statement.
We have to be fair and give things the right size. I agree with you that they have problems and they must work hard to fix it. But we have to deal with the situation with a professional way, and give them sometime to fix all issues. With all respect for the Big Name Clevo. If they didn't fix their problems and respects their customers, then we can judge clearly.
