I'm thinking... As long as we have access to these settings...We should have a pretty good shot at making it work.

@Meaker@Sager Do you know if there's any particular reason for Sager not to include 4K display option for P870DM2?

The first tests with the latest firmware has been good on other models as tested by linus for the core.

@Red Line likely due to the cost they decided not to get the 4k display chassis for the less expensive devices in case they sat on the shelf. If people are interested then let me know and we might be able to sort something out if there are a few people interested.

Long time lurker, first time poster here, finally have a reason to make an account. I've made the decision to buy/build a high-end Clevo, but I can't afford to spring for the P870DM3 right now. I was hoping to buy a P870DM3 barebones and put a single 1080 in it (and overclock the s*** out of it) possibly upgrading it to a SLI setup later down the line. However, the only barebones seller I've found (RJTech) doesn't allow you to get a setup without a GPU in the MXM slot. Any suggestions? I really don't want to buy a product I won't be able to upgrade. Any suggestions?

P.S. I'm not sure if this is where I should ask this question, as I'm technically not an owner (even though this page had 200 pages of speculation when the laptops released). If that is the case, I'd appreciate advice as to where else I should post my question.
Edit: Also, I've read that the Aorus X7 (DT) V6 has a 1440p120 panel. Is there any way I can make that happen with the P870DM3? (And if so, where'd I buy that panel?)

Do you have more info? Please post details :)

Was it the 1070 or 1080, assuming it's a 17", how noisy and hot was it??

What tests need to be done? I have three Strix 1080 OC cards right now.
