Can you circle the phases on a shot of the motherboard?

And somewhere to 100 other SMD components on the CPU power controller IC.

A word with some clevo engineers might help, for instance if adding everything on the board, the iGPU will work as usually does on PC, or somehow different.

Yeah you wont be powering much with unpopulated phases. Plus if you use that schematic to trace the video out, where does it go?

On schematics video goes nowhere, the eDP works directly from MXM. Why clevo would make iGPU power circuitry but nothing about video signals?

Save on costs and complexity. In same way as Clevo added a 4th fan header on MB for the P870TM, but in the end the engineers skipped the 4ht fan:)

The only way to make it work somehow, is to use a MUX for switching between MXM and iGPU video source, and make some BIOS tweak to be able to choose between these 2 and make by default the iGPU as primary video.
I am not sure how it works in W650k model, it seems that in that model its done a kind of optimus?

edit: main difference is that w650k uses a H170 PCH

There is a mux chip the can redirect the video connection on boot in models that can output from both.

Likely considering if the video transcode of the igp was a feature worth keeping.

Too bad eDP is not able to work in hotplug mode.

Not usually a requirement of embedded devices :p

Plus it would still need something to switch over the wiring effectively to the other output.

I would like to believe that the "new" 1070 die will live a long live on the modded MXM card i am doing right now, but since I could not make the GPU be even enough, it having a high degree of convexity, i thinl it will not have a very long life like this.
The times when kepler/maxwell GPUs were very even, those were with a higher degree of quality, and, even after several swaps, those kept almost perfect eveness which I have not met on any new pascal cards yet. So I am still looking for an alternative of having iGPU just in case.
