No, it wont cause any issues. It's not technically ideal thermally but such a thin layer should not make much of a difference.

I think it's better to remove it before. I would do that.

    Question for you guys.

I read some stuff about C-state Auto Demotion, C-state Un-demotion, Package Auto Demotion and Package Un-demotion.
My goal is to increase (as well as possible) my battery life.

I understood that options (I guess).
My question is, do C-state Auto Demotion can be set to C1&C3 and Un-demotion set to C1&C3 too?
For me Un-demotion is the opposite to Demotion. Is it not?
Do Package Demotion can be set to Enabled and Un-demotion to Enabled too?

Usually the defaults are going to be tuned to allow the CPU to best clock for efficiency.

I tried (I'm curious) but it did nothing more.
    I let it by default.

No magic bullet for better battery life I'm afraid, the gpu and GDDR staying active see to that.

I think that I might still want to activate the iGPU on the p751DM.
Time to find a motherboard and begin modding it, to be able to use it with and without the MXM card.

There is no power circuitry on the board, how would you route to the socket pins?

There is power circuitry for iGPU on the P7xx-DM models.
About routing to eDP to be able to display from iGPU, it's a big question. Maybe using a mux for this would fit, but I wonder how the BIOS setting works for the display options, does this control some pins on PCH or IO controller...

In schematics and on the board.
