    Hi,

I tried 2 heatsinks (First link and second link).

With the original heatsink I got 10°C difference between CPU and GPU at full throttle. With both I get same temp from idle to full throttle. Temp increasing is lower than before, up to 70°C CPU and GPU (Prime+furmark). The heatsink from the second link is bigger (17") than mine (15"), so I can't close my laptop casing. With first one it's OK.
    I7 7700T and GTX1070

    I have a question. My CPU is normaly runing 2.9Ghz 8 threads, 3.6Ghz 4 cores, 3.7Ghz 3/2 cores and 3.8Ghz one core.
With all my benchmarks I got 3.6Ghz one core, 3.45Ghz 2/3/4 cores, 2.4Ghz 8 threads. Someone knows why is it lower? Maybe somewhere in the bios there is something to check.

    Thanks

This is an 35w locked down chips https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/intel/core_i7/i7-7700t
See if you can undervolt (Use Xtu or ThrottleStop) for lower power consumption to keep higher clocks. 2.4GHz is very low. You get this clock speed in Cpu benchmarks? Try whats suggested + put High Performance in Win power plan. Run Cinebench R15 benchmark before and after undervolt. Post pict with scores https://www.maxon.net/en/products/cinebench/

    Hi guys.

    Thanks for your answers.
It's a small CPU yeah. I chose that for some reasons. Impossible to overclock, I tried quickly just for fun.
I will follow advice and try to undervolt. I tell you the difference when it's done.

If you could play around with the TDP at all that would be the biggest factor, undervolting will help too.

Yes it's disable stock, I actived it. Checked in XTU, and it's OK.

I don't think I can change the TDP with that chip (eco I7 chip) My max TDP is 45W during 8s before falling to 35W. Maybe I can try to change "Turbo boost power max" from 35W to 40W for example.

Anyway, I can try all the ways. I will do that with Intel XTU.

I finish the OC and UnderV of my 1070 and I start to fix the CPU.

You could try ThrottlStop as well if XTU won't help. The settings for Power limits is in the TPL window. How to Lower Temperatures, Stop Throttling etc with ThrottleStop

FYI. You have also access to Speed-Shift in ThrottleStop.

If you can extend the turbo window you would be able to remain at max clocks longer.

Will Samsung 970 EVO 250GB NVMe work plug and play in this laptop or will I need to do something before?
