    No such thing unless it's cooler than room temp (could cause condensation)!!! You probably just won the silicon lottery...

    I'll do you one better, we can trade rigs (except for hard drive and video card since I've got the 970m)... Deal?

    I think what he's trying to say could be entirely different than what he's actually saying...

    Like perhaps he means it's too cool to cook what he was trying to cook?
    Or
    Maybe he has the AC cranked up and his laptop is not keeping him warm enough?

    I´d wonder if everything is actually running full speed as intended.

    @Mr Najsman,

    According to the benchmarks, it seems to be running fine. However, I did some testing and found that the latest driver for The Witcher 3 is actually a crippling driver. Do not use it! Check out my quick benchmark video in my signature to see the difference in scores.

    My Firestrike run last week scored 8431 with whatever driver was current at the time.

    My Firestrike run today with today's current driver scored 8367:

    I'd say that a 80 point difference is within a reasonable margin of error. I don't know how you're getting several thousand points difference other than that there's something else amiss.

    I've seen similar and was wondering if it was driver 352.xx or the new build of win 10 10074 that was to blame in the benchmark drops. I'll try to track down the 350 driver for win 10 and check again (personal satisfaction).

    Edit: well that has to wait, build 10122 just dropped.

    Edit 2: taking the .esd and making a clean bootable thumb drive with it. Best test as almost all drivers for the laptop now are newer with win 10 builds. I'll report any major differences between this and the updated OS.

    @XMG, Umgh as far as I knew, up till at least last year, you guys were using MX-2.. May I ask what paste you are using now?

    My stock results are similar to yours but the minute I overclock, the clocks just throttle like nothing.. This driver is absolutely useless...

    I don't think that's all of it. For the benefit of the thread dedicated to the 352.86 driver I flashed @Prema's firmware and ran some tests against 347.88 and 352.86 with stock clocks and a small OC: +120MHz base clock, +300 mem clock. I could not reproduce the massive performance drop. My OC Heaven and Firestrike scores are about 400 and 1000 points higher respectively with the OC than without. @Ethrem suspects a bug Nvidia's stock firmwares.

    (Edited to clean up some bad formatting)
