    Two years and two months and the graphics card of my laptop (970M) has died due to overheating, acquired in CLEVOCENTER (Portugal), with cleanings every month and without touching anything of origin.
    More than 600 dollars to change the card.

    Has anybody been able to attach a 4K 60Hz external monitor via displayport on these machines?

    Explain

    how does one overheat a 970M

    Still think 970M shouldn't overheat from that... but you should have cleaned it out man.

    Every two months, he removed the bottom cover to clean the remaining fans and air vents. Never thought it necessary to have to disassemble the heatsink to clean that area where dust has accumulated according to CLEVOCENTER PORTUGAL, and much less imagined that for this could burn the graphics card.

    CADA DOS meses, se quitó la tapa inferior para Limpiar los Ventiladores Restantes y Salidas de aire. Nunca creido Necesario Tener que desmontar el disipador de calor para Limpiar el área en Que se Haya acumulado polvo SEGÚN la CLEVOCENTER PORTUGAL, y Mucho Menos Imaginado Que para ESTO podria quemar la Tarjeta Gráfica.

    Perdón por mi mal ingles :(

    You only need to take the fan out, the heatsink can remain in place.
