Don't let the ports get too dusty no and make sure the power connector is properly inserted, that can happen (and the tip will get very hot) if it's not quite fully in.

It's long time when I've been there but it looks that I need some help with 37x Nvidia drivers. I have BIOS and vbios from @Prema (Windows 10 with UEFI) but I can't use any newer driver - I have black screen (laptop works fine, I can use it remotely) and only mouse cursor is visible. I can only use older drivers without issues. Thanks and I'll appreciate any help :)

Have you checked his pages to make sure you have the latest of each bios?

Yes, I've checked it today to be sure that I have latest stuff from Prema.

Have you tried @j95 mod drivers in the T|I forum? If not sign up, be a member and ask for help.

Installed 378.66 from @j95 (modded version). It's broken and I have black screen with only mouse cursor visible again (I can use my machine remotely). I was able to block Win10 updates to nvidia driver (using group policy) but Microsoft can break my driver in future again so it would be good to find fix for this issue anyway. I don't have time to clean reinstall Win10 with 37x driver but I'll try this at some point - no idea what's wrong, haven't seen similar issue from other users here.

edit: I forgot to mention that I have this issue with internal and external display (using both, hdmi and display port).

No, I'll play with them probably tomorrow but somehow I expect the same - already tried 3 or 4 regular drivers.
Thanks for Windows Update MiniTool - it's going to be useful tool :D

Just a quick update, I ordered the new panel, a compatible LTN156HL01 from laptopscreen.com, they sent me insted an LTN156HL02 (apparently an original by Samsung?).
Already swapped the panels and the new one seems working fine. Image quality seems a little bit better than the preview one (B156HAN01.2). Not yet tested in gaming though.
