its not that bad, actually :) sure, the area where the CPU is located gets a bit warm, but not uncomfortably so. besides, aside from benchmarks i always run at stock or undervolted/underclocked settings, so in extended gaming sessions i dont expect any thermal problems whatsoever on auto fans ;) as for benchmarks, i always use the full fan option to provide the best possible situation for my stressed hardware :p

I will try to put my stuff together sry.

@jaybee83 - How does you CPU do in a test like GeekBench 3 or similar? I would like to know how much juice you're getting from that i7.. I get around 12k something on mine stock.

I don't even think Luna would care right now. Multiposting has been broken for me for ages and editing posts now opens a new page, instead of doing it right there on the browser. It's a bloody pain if I see a new message or forget to quote someone to get it into one message. And that is entirely the fault of whoever is responsible for setting up this xenforo thing, and nobody can tell me otherwise.

Well if you add in GeekBench 3 it will definitely suffice for me, since it gives a great all around performance measure and it only takes 2 minutes to perform :D

Ok...so I managed to disable that annoying adaptive brightness..

So in addition to all the windows 8 power settings you need to go to intelHD control panel >> power.

Here is where it gets very counterintuitive.

You need to sellect "battery" and only them the option to disable adaptive brightness appears.

You disable it here and it's gone for good both in plugged in AND battery mode.

    Wow :D
It's definitely the most power you can get out of a laptop until 5th gen i7s gets around!

    @-Jinx-
Nice! I really thought that it would be out of reach from Windows like with my TV, but I guess they were smarter than that! Thank you very much it works!!

I don't have Optimus, so I don't have the intel HD control panel.

Are you sure that works? At least on my P751ZM even with hotkey and windows power settings on performance mode ( with the cpu set to 100% when on battery) the cpu won't go past 2.9ghz.
