    Yes, and simulation tools.
Although I can also run the 980M by software, it's mainly for games.

I wonder if it can handle 2800 MB read and 2000 MB write speeds with 4x m.2 drives in raid 0.....
I sure hope it's better than dells setup. Because their's needs work.

Will it let you sli two docking stations together? LOL

The only systems capable of beyond 1.7gb/sec are devices using pci-e from the cpu directly (That would eliminate sli in a none 2011 system) and the x99 platform using enough sata drives and pci express devices.

The lesser pin count sockets are limited by the cpu -> south bridge link which runs at 1.7gb/sec so no matter the combination of pci-e or sata from the south bridge that is the max you will see.

X79 only supports sata ii beyond the first two devices so would need 11 drives to reach the speeds you are talking about.

This is why a refresh from clevo/sager on the line would help those needing a lot of storage speed.

I've got a good combination of 4k and straight line speeds don't worry.

You don't need to worry about the performance level I'm getting John ;)

Now can we move away from other systems because we are getting side tracked again.

You have me all wrong. I'm not really worried about all that. I already know what top level performance looks like. And what you have is better at storage, but not when it comes to gaming performance. The clevo with 980M's would still out perform it. You got 20k in firestrike right, but your 980m's scored a tad higher correct? So if this was on a purely gaming change then in reality you took a step backward, but I do understand why though.

As to the storage question.. That was me being curious as to whether it could run that. Not for benching purposes. Wasn't sure if it could handle the speeds of the new m.2 drives. If you just bought something like (sata speed) m.2 drives like evos or something. Then it's really not faster than a Clevo/Sager unless you go 3 drives.

Just wanted to clear up the cloak and dagger stuff. Because most didn't know what you had went to.;)

Me.....Time to test out these 4 Titan X's:D

Side note: I was more or less just being funny with the jump ship/sli stuff. That's it.
    Congratulations on your new platform.
