How is it compared to the other one? Do you get to overclock further or anything?

Since my 980M cards are lousy overclockers, I cannot overclock them far enough to identify which one is better at the edge of stability. I cannot actually reach the edge of stability, LOL. I've tried both in an effort to avoid having my screen go black randomly around 1325-1350MHz on core, but the behavior is identical with both vBIOSes. I like both vBIOSes... both are amazing work and both doing an excellent job, but I am not thrilled with the lackluster overclocking capacity of my 980M GPUs. This is not an SLI thing... they did it in my Alienware also, single or dual, Windows 7, Windows 8, different drivers... behaves consistently the same under all conditions. I need to get my AC cooling setup in place again to confirm it, but I think the problem is not as severe when the GPUs are kept at chilly temperatures. With stock cooling, the black screen is predictable, but I was able to overclock much better when benching using AC. The GPU cores are not getting too hot, but something else might be.

Makes some sense... what about doing what Meaker did with the VRMs? Adding some of them on? You could get by with your 780Ms until then, I'm sure.

That would fix his issue yes, probably got unlucky with the batch of mosfets used on the lower end of the bell curve.

Would it be possible to assign PhysX to the Quadro?
Do you know of any benchmarks for a setup like that?

Technically you could but it would perform no better than a geforce at the task and it would be slower than an SLI combo of the same card.

Thanks! I wonder how better would it be (FurMark & 3DMark) having a 980M with K5100M instead of two K5100M.

I'm confused, why do you want the K5100M at all?

OpenGL and OpenCL. A single 980M will do just fine for me since I usually run on 1920x1080.
The improvement of the K5100 may be worth the price depending on the drawbacks of the mix. So far, I didn't find any reports on this setup.

    I've just found this[1]:
It's old but kind of made me afraid of trying to mix them up.
