    Reviews:
The main advantage of this model to me is the 65W desktop processor setup using hybrid graphics combined with mini-DisplayPort connectors for both the UHD630 GPU and Nvidia dedicated GPU. This allows the machine to function well as a dual purpose work / gaming machine with great alternative OS support and performance. I intend to triple boot Linux / MacOS / Windows 10 and will post feedback on each experience.

The 9900 non K will be interesting to see how far 65w gets you.

Not sure if it's really important. You can get 9900K and set power limit 1 to 65W and call it a day. At least with K version you can adjust multipliers to what ever the value you want.

Why does that matter in a locked platform? I mean you could test it I suppose but I've not seen the results yet.

It's doing no harm. But problem is these locked 9" series will run hotter because STIM (soldered interface) only available with unlocked K cpus.

So far the performance is great. I did both a stock and 95mV undervolt run.

Actually I also have a 9900k, but at the suggestion of Eluktronics I picked up the locked i9-9900 for use in the machine. The bios only enforces the TDP limit specified by the processor, and does not have a setup menu option to override PL1. I am not sure if the VRM can handle the 95W TDP but it would likely thermal throttle before it even gets to that limit.

At 65W it should not matter.
