Anyone interested in buying my W90? It may have a failing video card. It starts to boot, then finally crashes. I have the software, & Win 7 upgrade, & the backpack to go with it. View attachment 128490

Hi guys! Just want to let you know that by baking my main ATi display adapter 8 min at 180°C everything solved out : the display work, no lines, windows installed and working just fine. Did not try any game as I will use it for work now on.
Many thanks for support that helped me going on with this. Cheers !

I've applied new thermal paste on my CPU and GPU's a while back and cleaned out al of the heat coolers, man was I happy to find out it can run games again now and wasn't a real hardware issue :D
Also took some measurements of the heatpads on the GPU heat spreaders as I feel they could also do with a change.
The MemIO temperature is currently the highest temp on my GPU's...

Adjusting the heatpads on quite a few heatsinks can really help temperatures, just be sure they do make contact :)

Sorry for digging up such an old thread. I have succesfully repaired an ASUS W90VP-uz035K with new VGA cards, Mainboard A1, and flashed Bios 702 on it, but now the laptop is behaving weirdly. First Bios post takes much longer than before. Second, half of the RAM is gone in Bios (from 6 GB down to 3GB). Also, I cant boot into a linux live system anymore, as the system hangs after POST.
Bios 601 and 502 behave similar. Does anybody have a Bios 404 on his/her machine, and wants to dump it for me?
Also, I'd be interested in all of the limit breaker files from this thread here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/viciousxusmcs-w90-limit-breaker-guide-version-3.437019/
All download links have expired. Thanx to anybody willing to help.

Edit: figured out that a CMOS reset and loading setup default cures this issue.
    Everything is back to normal.
I assumed the machine would do that by itself. Old age does that to you...

I'd still enjoy these files/vBIOSes if someone has them.
