    Hello Vente Hardware !

    Luca BORRUTO

    Hello there,
Just tought I can start this thread.

Ordered on HIDEVOLUTION, with stock config, just changed the Killer Wifi Card with an Intel AC 9260 one + a LM repaste with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on CPU + GPU, and Fujipoly Extreme Thermal Pads.

Here's a review here by @Christopher Reid (thx btw)

And here's my personal review with some benchmarks:
    Before to go :
1st : I have to said that I will compare this device mostly with my previous laptop : an Alienware 15 R3.
2nd : I write this very quick, so I'll edit this later when I got some times, and better benchmarks
3rd : Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native language.
4rd : like I said in my first post, my laptop is Repasted with LM + Pads by HID.

    Gaming and Temps:

Ok, the moment you all waiting for !
I will complete this section later this week, because lack of time

I never do thermals benchmarks so if you have any proposition I'll do it !

    First Benchmark on PUBG:
With HWinfo x64 on 2 Hours intensive PUBG @ Overclock lvl 0, and with -150mv Undervolt.
Keep in mind that I have a LM (Grizzly Conductonaut CPU + GPU and Fujipoly Thermals Pads) repaste !

FPS Benchmark to have an idea (G-Sync active) :
    Frames: 452862
    Time (ms): 3902266
    Min: 0
    Max: 144
    Avg: 121.051

CPU and GPU core clock :
    CPU : 3988 MHz
    GPU : ~1800 MHz

    Window Mode : Fullscreen
    Display resolution : 1920x1080
    Camera FOV : MAX
    Screen Scale : 100
    Anti-Aliasing : Ultra
    Post-Processing : Very Low
    Shadows : Very Low
    Textures : Ultra
    Effects : Very Low
    Foliage : Very Low
    View Distance : Ultra
    V-Sync : Off
    Motion Blur : Off

    MORE TO COME LATER !
The first thing I have noticed after opening the box : the premium feeling.
This device is awesome, there is 0 flex and it's look so sexy.
I got on my previous laptop an 120hz Screen so I was not so amazed by the 144hz, but trust me 120+hz screen is just awesome.
The screen itself is very good, with nice color accuracy thanks to Pantone, but I do not use this, I prefer the standard display settings (easy one click on the command center program)

I just noticed a lack of Brightness compared to my old laptop but nothing too much. (btw, is it possible to overclock the brightness of a screen?)
Nothing to said, 512GB of REALLY fast SSD is awesome + 1To SSHD.
That's a nice point to Aorus: a laptop delivered with real M.2 SSD.
I don't have any bloatware thanks to HID clean install of windows, but the Aorus Command Center is just perfect, one click overclock and fan speed... This soft do anything that you want to custom your laptop and it's smooth af compared to the Alienware Center, laggy af and bugged.
    Awful performance !!
Just kidding, you already know that with an i7-8850H and a full GTX 1070 gaming is just as great as a full sized tower.
Just to spoil you : PUBG with "pro" settings (all to Very Low just Antialiasing, View Distance and Textures to Ultra) it run @ almost constant 144FPS !
It's my only complain about this PC, the fan are really loud. I'm not even talking when gaming, but idle just watching YouTube videos, it's not that great. When on quiet mod it's a little bit better, Headphones recommended.
Battery life is not impressive, like all others gaming laptop, so I'll pass on this.
The keyboard is awesome for gaming, this is not the case when typing compared to my old laptop.
Sometimes you miss touch because of the low travel distance.
Maybe I'm too perfectionist about this because I use Mechanical Keyboard all time.
The Speakers are not really impressive (need some bass and clarity) but remain really good speakers, but the Sound Card... Wow just amazing with my Beyerdynamic MMX300. It's just so impressive.

I'll give you an advice : Do not active the Dolby Atmos ! It's just awful.

Thanks you guys, and I promise that I'll add content later ! ;)

So, don’t keep us waiting! How is it? I’m especially interested in thermals and throttling while gaming...:)

Thanks! Still need more info on the thermals though...

@Donald@HIDevolution Donald, have you guys already sold a few of these bad boys with a Conductonaut repaste and if so, care to share the max temps while testing/benchmarking? :)

Thanks for your write up! I've got a few questions. First, would it be possible to post some screenshots of HWinfo during intense gaming sessions so we can see the current and max temperatures of the CPU and GPU? Second, how is the trackpad and is it compatible with windows does drivers?

    @LUCKASS

Could you tell us how much you can overclock with 8850H? For example in 1 and 6 cores what is the max frequency that you get? Someone posted here recently that got 4.6GHz...for sure that was in one core.

Also if you post some pics with hwinfo stats while in gaming will be great.

Thanks for the review anyways :)
